It will be an exciting project working with fabrics to achieve the aged stone building and an explosion of colour with the poppies surrounding the church. It will be wonderful to bring home a piece of work that depicts the time spent in Abruzzo.

Day 1

• Introduction of my artwork and myself
• Introduction of students
• Introduction of project, “Piane di Navelli, Abruzzo, Italy”
• Run through supplies
• Interpretation of fabric used for colour, scale and texture as art medium
• Demonstration of appliqué techniques and fusible web
• Set up on design wall
• Start with placement of background and continue to end of day

Day 2

Once background is complete continue with appliqué of foreground instructing how to achieve three-dimensional effect.

Day 3 to End

Once appliqué work is done, begin sewing picture in place using invisible thread.

Last Day

• Finish detailing and show and tell of work.
• Materials supplied by instructor cost @ 25.00 ea. muslin all fabrics invisible thread.
• Steam a Seam Freezer paper Tissue paper Masking tape.
