Welcome to my Textile Art website!
I am happy to share my passion for textile art with the world. This is a wonderful time in my life and I have had many successes: a twenty year marriage, raising two step sons and the ongoing operation of a hectic garden centre.

Life has now finally slowed down and I can nurture my instinctive ability to create. For practical reasons I had to put my creativity on the backburner. Now I spend many hours in my sewing studio with one project after another. I hope my work as a textile artist gives you the same joy that I receive from creating it.

This is another one of those fun projects. I am sure most women can appreciate the camaraderie of a girls’ weekend, sharing stories and drinking wine. I can’t wait for my next girls’ weekend.
The people who lived in Willisville, Ontario would walk the rails to Whitefish Falls, where they would shop, attend church or just pay a social visit to friends. I worked off an old black and white photo that I just had to bring to life with colour and texture. It depicts the charm of a simpler time. Today, the train is no longer needed and the tracks have been removed.
One Thanksgiving weekend my husband and I climbed the Willisville Mountain. This lone tree stands on the trail struggling to survive the elements. It isn’t the most beautiful tree on the mountain but it is probably the most photographed. I also felt compelled to take its picture and share it with the world in textile form.

My grandparents and parents spent their summers on Lake Penage in Whitefish, Ontario. Once school was out Mom and Dad would pack up and take us there for most of the summer. Dad would travel back and forth to the mine. I hope to add to this quilt art collection as well as I have many more memories to capture.

This quilt art was a commission piece that was quite a challenge. May be someday I will get to see it in person. It is amazing how they built this beautiful town of Positano on the mountain side.

Anyone that has spent time in the LaCloche mountains understands the magic it has. We drive through this area on our way to Manitoulin Island. I always enjoy entering my fabric art in the LaCloche Art Show every summer. It gives me an excuse to spend time there, sharing art with fellow artists.
