Beach huts are a familiar sight on the beaches in Suffolk, a popular vacation area on the east coast of England.

I was inspired to do this picture after spending some time in Florida during the cold winter months. The beaches in Florida aren’t that much different from the beach on Manitoulin Island, on the shores of Lake Huron.

After seeing a photo of the phonographs at the Edison Museum in Florida I was compelled to do a textile picture. I was surprised to see the speakers were painted so beautifully. They reminded me of a bouquet of flowers.
